Committee Member - Melinda Young Melinda Young has been a member of Women In Finance in Victoria since inception and joined the Committee in 2005. She is a previous Vice President and President.
Melinda is a founder of Mortgage Simplicity Pty Ltd, an award winning boutique mortgage and finance broking firm.
She has over 20 years of finance industry experience and has specialised in real estate and commercial lending for the past 12 years.
Committee Member - Margaret Weller Margaret Weller is a founding member of Women In Finance nationally and was instrumental in establishing the Victorian association. She is a familiar face who is often on the Registration table at our functions and is the initial contact for new members.
Margaret is a Business Development Manager at Debit Success.
Committee Member - Kim Dema
Kim Dema joined the Committee in 2006.
She is a qualified accountant and has seven years experience in the Finance/Broker industry. Kim is currently a Relationship Manager with the Commonwealth Bank.
Committee Member - Nancy Peat
Nancy has been a WIF Committee member since 2001. She is past President and Vice President and currently manages the website on behalf of the association.
Nancy is a qualified Financial Planner with a specialty in Risk Insurance. With over twenty years experience, she has worked in a chartered accounting environment for the last seven years providing personal and business risk solutions for accounting and Financial Planning clients.
Committee Member - Penelope Barr
Penelope Barr joined the WIF committee in 2006.
Penelope has been working with NAB for 10 years and is currently Executive Manager NABtv, Public Affairs, Community Relations and Sponsorships. She established the Customer Service function prior to the launch of Internet Banking and has held various positions, both here and in the UK, relating to the web environment, online sales applications & marketing functionality.
Penelope has also piloted alternative channels such as SMS, aggregation services and personalisation. She has been awarded 3 UK Marketing & Innovation awards, worked on the initial marketing strategy for the Sydney 2000 Olympics and also spent 4 years working in Japan.
Penelope has completed a marketing programme at Harvard Business School, has a Masters of Business (Research), is one subject away from completing a Masters of Marketing; has a Grad Dip in Project Management, Grad Dip in Frontline Management, Grad Dip in Tourism & Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts.
Committee Member - Anna Skeels
Anna Skeels joined the Financial Services industry in London with Barclays Bank. She worked within the accounting and actuarial side of the business before moving into Wealth Management.
Anna joined a UK subsidiary of Morgan and Banks Recruitment in 1998, and then moved to Sydney in 1999 in a recruitment role. In 2000 Anna moved to Melbourne to help establish the Financial Services division. Since then she has been the recruitment Account Manager for several large Melbourne finance institutions and is well established in the Melbourne market. A past President and Vice President of Women In Finance - Victoria, Anna is currently on Maternity Leave.
Committee Member - Di Kennedy
Di Kennedy has been a WIF committee member since 2004. She has been actively involved in the website management and works for NAB leading the Business Information Services team within Finance. Di is currently on Maternity Leave.
Di is MBA qualified and has over 10 years experience in both retail and Investment Banking. Her areas of speciality include wholesale outsourcing solutions, in particular around securities trading, and also management information.
Committee Member - Fiona Humphreys Fiona Humphreys is a past committee member from the Queensland branch of WIF and joined the Melbourne Committee when she moved to Melbourne in January 2007. Fiona is currently the Sales Manager for Victoria/Tasmania and South Australia for Kaplan Education.
Her involvement with WIF has created the opportunity to meet like minded professionals in an informal environment. Fiona is proud to be involved in the fantastic events WIF are hosting and looks forward to meeting you at an event soon!
