NEWS & EVENTS - 27th October, 2009
Dear Members and Colleagues
We had a great turnout at our October luncheon and we wish to extend our thanks to Kelly Magowan, CEO of Six Figures.  Kelly's enthusiasm in helping Women enhance their negotiation skills is proving to be an effective catalyst for change, raising many issues during the session and positively reminding us of key issues to consider.
Join us on 19th November at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre for a delicious breakfast and in welcoming our inspirational, exclusive speaker, retired indigenous Australian magistrate, Dr Sue Gordon AM.  Born in Western Australia in 1944, Dr Gordon was separated from her mother and family at the age of four as one of the stolen generation.  The FPA and Women in Finance breakfast is a great opportunity for WIF members and FPA Conference delegates to network, while supporting a good cause as the proceeds will be donated to Future2. The event is open to all and you are not required to attend the full Conference to attend this breakfast.   Please click here for further details and registration.

As the festive season approaches, please save this date in your Calender. Wednesday 9th December from 6.00pm to 8.15pm at Flinders Lane Gallery , 137 Flinders Lane, Melbourne CBD.  Celebrate your 2009 highlights with colleagues at the Women in Finance Christmas event. We are proud to bring to you an exclusive event and venue at the Flinders Lane Gallery "Treasures 09 Exhibition" when the gallery presents new affordable works to celebrate their highlights for 2009 and the Festive Season.    Claire Harris, Gallery director will

give a 'floor talk'. Four of the Artists' whose work is on display will also be available to discuss their achievements (Claire Bridge, Marise Maas, Juli Haas and Greer Honeywill).   We are also pleased to announce that Victoria Sharples, International Wine Judge and Educator, will be selecting wines and give an introduction to each wine during the evening.  We look forward to updating you with details shortly and will announce when registration is open for our Christmas event.

I look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

Best Wishes
Ha-Dieu Ford
